In the spring of 2009, right before the official release of
Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King, DMB embarked on a lengthy touring schedule throughout the US and Europe. New tunes like
Funny the Way It Is and
Why I Am made their live debut and held their own next to DMB classics such as
Everyday and
Rhyme & Reason, the latter featuring Joe Lawlor on electric guitar. This show from Alpharetta, GA also captures the live debut of
Beach Ball and the rare, full band rendition of
Rye Whiskey. The energy throughout this show feels fresh and the band was clearly ready to share new material with the fans all summer long.
